Session & Fee Information

Session Information

Sessions are 50 minutes long, and are typically held at the same time each week, although I am flexible with scheduling when possible. We meet via a secure online video platform. Some clients prefer sessions via non-video phone calls.

We meet weekly, and occasionally clients request to meet every other week if they are in a busy phase of life or feel like they need less support. I am fine with either option; I do require new clients to meet weekly with me for the first month to build a stronger connection off the bat,

During nicer times of the year, we can also consider outdoor therapy at a local South Placer County park if scheduling permits.

Prior to your first session, we will have met for our free initial consultation to determine if it’s a fit. Then, you will complete intake questionnaires and forms. Once those steps are completed we schedule our first therapy session together!

Fee Scale

My standard fee range is:

  • $140-185 per session for individuals

  • $180-210 per session for couples

Clients pay what they can comfortably afford within that range.

Reduced fee information:

I maintain a range of rates on my fee scale, and reserve 1/3rd of my schedule for people who are paying a reduced fee. The scale reflects cost of living/typical income for the Bay Area.

  • The rate goes down to $85 minimum

  • Eligibility for a reduced fee is re-evaluated every 3-4 months

  • This range is based on income and can include a broader context of your life and finances.

When determining the fee, we will also consider additional factors in your life, like family and community obligation and support, student loans, access to resources, and debt. Please inquire when you contact me if there are openings for reduced fees, as these slots often fill quickly.

Fee Adjustments

I maintain flexibility with existing clients. I will adjust my fee up and down whenever possible as life circumstances change and impact your finances or sense of stability. For example, you pay a reduced fee, but win the lottery, so you no longer qualify for the reduced fee. Or, you and your partner originally paid my full fee but one person was laid off, so you might need a reduced fee.

I apply a yearly fee increase of $10 a year. If this is not feasible for you, we can discuss and adjust accordingly.

Out-of-Network Insurance & Superbills

I do not accept insurance directly. Clients may be reimbursed by their insurance provider as I am an out-of-network provider.

I can provide superbills (a type of receipt) for you to provide to your insurance plan. If your plan provides reimbursement for out of network providers (that’s me!), a superbill can help you get reimbursed for our therapy sessions. Depending on your plan, you may be reimbursed for a partial or full amount of my fee. Please contact your claims department directly to get the correct information.

Fee Questions

These fee options may still feel inaccessible. If you have any questions, please contact me for more information. I can provide referrals if we cannot create an alternative fee schedule.

I accept cash, check, and credit/debit cards as payment options. You are welcome to use your flex spending or health saving (HSA/FSA) cards for payments. When meeting remotely, I use cards as the starting option, and we can explore other options if you are using something other than cards.
